Launching B&NES Child and Family Health
From today, 1st April, HCRG Care Group is proud to launch BaNES Child and Family Health – the refreshed and rebranded service supporting families, children, and young people across Bath and North East Somerset.
This marks the official start of our new contract with Bath & North East Somerset Council to continue delivering Public Health Nursing-led services for children and families. These services support families from pregnancy through to young adulthood (0-19), offering expert advice, preventative care, and accessible support in the heart of the community.
As part of this new chapter, we’ve also launched a new, easy-to-navigate website:
baneschildandfamily.co.uk. Here, families can access advice, information and find out more about the support available locally.
Under the new contract, which could run until 2031, our service will continue to align with the Council’s Think Family approach and the Government’s Healthy Child Programme. Families will benefit from:
- A named health visitor for every child under 4 and a named school nurse for every secondary school.
- New ways to connect, including a Child and Family Wellbeing app, single point of access for queries, and drop-in hubs in the community.
- Joined-up support through multi-disciplinary teams bringing together public health nurses, early help practitioners and other professionals.
- Stronger partnerships with schools, nurseries, family hubs and voluntary sector organisations.
- Support to stay well with a greater focus on self-help tools, digital resources and health promotion.
