HCRG Care Group selected to deliver children’s community health services in Surrey
HCRG Care Group is delighted to have been awarded the contract to manage children’s community health services in Surrey and North East Hampshire and Farnham from April 2025.
The organisation will build on the great services that families in Surrey already enjoy through bringing in innovative ways of service provision such as Healthy Family Teams and a dedicated child and family app alongside phone and face-to-face support.
Children’s community health services in Surrey and North East Hampshire and Farnham, which will be delivered on behalf of NHS Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Board (ICB), NHS Frimley Integrated Care Board (ICB), Surrey County Council and NHS England (South East), will provide an integrated service for children, young people and families to ensure they receive the best possible care.

“We’re also keen to introduce technologies to enable families to interact with the service online, including making appointments. And, having been delivering adult community health services in Surrey since 2012, we know the area well and are pleased to have the opportunity to further strengthen our ties.”
From day one, children’s community health services in Surrey and North East Hampshire and Farnham will be proudly carbon net-zero, reflecting HCRG Care Group’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The service will be delivered through locality-based multidisciplinary Healthy Family Teams (HFTs), aligned with local social care boundaries and community sites, ensuring care is person-centred and accessible. A comprehensive digital strategy will further enhance access to support and self-care tools for families.
The service model will be supported by a unified workforce operating under a single governance framework, ensuring consistency and high standards of care across all services.
Recognising that staff are the cornerstone of service quality, the service will prioritise creating a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative culture. The co-designed Workforce Plan will focus on wellbeing, personal development, and career opportunities for all colleagues. Flexible working arrangements, targeted recruitment campaigns, and award-winning HR policies will support our efforts to build and maintain a highly skilled and motivated workforce.
To efficiently manage waiting lists and ensure families feel supported, the service will leverage data analytics and innovative pathway designs. Proactive communication will keep families informed and reassured during waiting periods, with additional resources and support provided through digital tools.
The service will go live on 1 April 2025, with the colleagues transferring with pay and terms and conditions protected by law.
