A new contract has been awarded to HCRG Care Group to continue delivering critical health care services to patients in police custody across Lancashire.
CRG Medical Services, a part of HCRG Care Group, has been running the service since 2011.
The service supports some of the most vulnerable individuals within our society by addressing their immediate healthcare needs and supporting their onward referral into community services in order to improve their health and wellbeing. It plays an important role in supporting Lancashire Constabulary and key stakeholders within the Criminal Justice Pathway.
The new contract starts on 1st December 2023 and ushers in a new era for patient care, with a number of new and exciting transformation initiatives planned, including the upskilling of healthcare professionals and introduction of a new electronical clinical record system which will provide a seamless, contemporaneous record for each patient during their time within Police Custody to support their clinical care and journey of recovery.
Pat Birchall, Chief Operating Officer at HCRG Care Group, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded this new contract and look forward to continuing our strong relationship with Lancashire Constabulary and providing health care support to patients in police custody.”
