HCRG Care Group secures the win for the Best Cost of Living Response Award
HCRG Care Group is celebrating after being announced as the winners of the Best Cost of Living Response Award in the CIPP’s Annual Excellence Awards 2023.
As the cost of living escalated for households across the UK, HCRG Care Group recognised the importance of providing extensive support to colleagues. In July 2022, the organisation launched a comprehensive initiative focused on addressing the challenges of the rising cost of living. This involved the introduction of a new support package, tools, initiatives, tips, and tricks aimed at empowering colleagues to maximise the value of their earnings.
The organisation initially implemented the following key measures:
- Spreading the cost of essential white goods and smart technology
- Implementing a HRT prescription reimbursement scheme
- Revamping the expenses policy
- Offering earlier access to payslips
- Offering season ticket loans to address the financial burden of using public transport
- Introducing earned wage access – Colleagues were granted the opportunity to access up to 40 per cent of their earned wages for free once a month until June 2023
- Maximising Blue Light discounts and double-dip discounts
- Driving down vehicle ownership costs
- Offering confidential financial support
- Introducing an internal notice board, Share Your Tips, to enable colleagues to share money-saving tips to help others
HCRG Care Group remains dedicated to supporting colleagues’ financial well-being and continues to introduce new initiatives to meet evolving needs. Further additions have been made to the support package which include the following:
- Free mortgage advice
- Fertility support
- A new cycle to work initiative
