Health and care provider HCRG Care Group has joined a five-strong alliance of specialists on a mission to deliver health and social care support to more than 4.5 million residents in Essex.

The alliance of HCRG Care Group, Priority Digital Health, Age Well East, and Terence Higgins Trust, led by Provide CIC, forms a unique combination of private, social enterprise and voluntary sector organisations. Together, they will support the delivery of the Essex Wellbeing Service (EWS), for at least the next five years.

EWS provides health and social care support to Essex residents aged 16+ and registered with a GP. Whether it’s help to quit smoking, social isolation support, weight management, or support with day-to-day needs, the service helps local people and their employers, families and communities to stay healthy, safe and well.

EWS is supported by Priority Digital Health’s Priority Platform, a case management system that digitalises appointment bookings; volunteer sign-up and management; and referral or self-referral for support.

HCRG Care Group will deliver child and family healthy lifestyle support as part of the service.

Kathleen Ely, Business Unit Operations Director at HCRG Care Group in Essex, said: “This is a really exciting opportunity for us to support Essex residents in maximising their wellbeing and leading healthier lives. It will also allow us to build on the work we have already been doing over the past five years to make a positive difference to families in the region.”
